Sany Group held the quarterfinals of the 1st Sany Construction Machinery Management App Design Competition in Changsha on July 24. 20 college students from nine teams presented their app ideas for consideration in the ongoing competition.
“We could actually find a software company to produce the app, which will definitely be done quickly and at a lower price,” Sany Group Executive Vice President Liang Linhe said, “But we want to give this opportunity to university students so that they can apply their knowledge to practical use.” Liang Linhe also noted that he was surprised and highly impressed by the effort the contestants have put into developing their ideas and presentations.
“As a company that actively engages in CSR initiatives and is committed to making positive contributions to communities, we want to create an engaging platform for university students to apply their skills,” Liang Linhe said. “We also have a program offering internship opportunities at Sany for contestants who’ve entered the finals,” he announced, “They’ll have access to hands-on engineering machinery management, so that they can modify the app to be more practical and efficient.”
Fostering first-class talent and encouraging innovation are two of Sany's core values. The competition serves as a great platform for young people to develop their skills, engaging in high-level technological idea-generation and application.
The competition finals are expected to be held by the end of September, with the teams demonstrating their finished apps on-site. If the app is well developed, Sany will adopt it and use it in daily machinery management and if it proves to be highly efficient, it will be applied across the entire business system.
