The crane operator training on safety is essential to the crawler crane operation and the personal and property safety of our customers. To guarantee a safe crane operation, SANY recommends you to select your crane operators strictly and carefully, and pay attention to the crane operator training.

The first rule of crane operator training on safety is to clear the liabilities of the crane operator. Only the required personnel can operate the crawler crane: a qualified crane operator must be a driver who receives the crane operator training in the professional training institute with legal certification and passes the exams concerned, or the apprentice under the direct supervision of required crane operator, or inspector, service or testing personnel that operate the crawler crane due to their normal duties. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or taking prescription medication that might impair his/her judgment or reaction speed must never operate the crawler crane.

Crane operator must not be distracted while operating the crawler crane and must not do any other thing which will divert his/her attention. Crane operator must control, handle and adjust the crawler crane in a safe manner so as not to endanger the operation personnel or facilities around the crawler crane, being responsible for all operations under his/her direct control. In the crane operator training, the drivers must understand the importance of wearing necessary personal protection equipment such as safe cap, goggles, gloves, and safe belt.

In addition, crane operator must pay close attention to any warning or directive signals given by the relative personnel during the operation of crawler crane. If there is a warning sign placed on the start consoles, the crane operator should not start the engine until it is removed. If the load or the appointed signal person is out of sight or communication range, crane operator should not move the crane machine. The crane operator training must teach them to signals given by the hoisting director or by the appointed signal person and operate in accordance with the signals. Most of all, should obey any stop signal given by any person at any time.
