Sany India Won Big Orders at Bauma 2016

On April 11, Bauma 2016 opened in Munich. Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has successively won big orders in two days and the amount of the intending orders is more than 200 million RMB. Sany is particularly brisk in Indian market with its performance accounting for nearly half of the total orders.

Nearly 100 million’s orders settled in Indian market in two days
Sany gained the first order from the Indian market on the very first day of the exhibition, which included 4 sets of Sany rotary drilling machinery (worth more than 10 million RMB). The next afternoon, Sany got several orders from a number of well-known Indian companies, and formally delivered the excavators, the crawler cranes and other equipment to the customers through the “Golden Key” delivery ceremony, all of which showed the great popularity of Sany in Indian market and the recognition of customers for Sany brand. A well-known Indian hoisting company bought three sets of Sany large-tonnage crawler cranes. “The lifting capacity of this equipment is in the leading position among the same tonnage equipment in the global market, it is stable and safe”,  said the relevant responsible person of the company. This crawler crane can realize the whole package-transporting to the maximum level, reducing the cost of transportation and using, which is of great importance to the users. He added, “Many products of Sany have reached the same level with European products, this proves that it is wrong to say that Chinese manufactures are not better than the European manufactures.”

Based on local market and welcome new development opportunity
It is said that in addition to the finished orders, Indian customers also had the intention to purchase other equipment valuing nearly 100 million. According to Deepak, the General Manager of Sany India, it is not unexpected that Sany received many Indian orders. “In recent years, the economy of India has been very active, the economic growth rate ranks number one in the world and many new projects are being launched including the construction of infrastructure facilities and energy facilities,” said Deepak. Therefore, Sany is welcoming a new development opportunity in India. Meanwhile, the company achieved a spectacular growth in the neighboring markets of India and developed a lot of dealers, achieving a full coverage in South Asia area including India, Bangladesh, Siri Lanka, Nepel and other countries.

As the vanguard of the internationalization of Sany, Sany India consistently insists on the "localization" strategy. Based on the local market, Sany India launched the SY220C-9 excavator, SPC series automobile crane and other localized products and achieved a rapid growth. In the first half of last year, Sany India has been fully profitable.

Take the crawler crane for example, it is a special R&D product for the Indian market. "We had conducted market tracking research for two years and discussed with customers about the technical details for hundred times." Deepak said that during the R&D process, customers had repeatedly witnessed the field test of the equipment, "It can be said that this is a customized product for clients of India."

With a series of localization strategies, the market shares of Sany mobile crane and crawler crane have ranked first in Indian market. In addition, Sany excavators, graders, rotary drilling equipment also have a good performance in the market of India. Deepak also revealed that Sany will begin to produce transit mixer and batching plant in India.

"Within the next five years, Sany India will not only manage to maintain the lifting equipment’s first place in the market, but also try to occupy the first place of the market of excavators and port machinery." Deepak said. In addition, Sany India will manage to become the overseas supply center of Euro II-emission-standard excavators as well as the global procurement and training center.
