The delegation interviewed Sany Group president Tang Xiuguo about Sany's development and its plans in Ethiopia.

Sany was singled out by the Ethiopian embassy and selected as the only Chinese enterprise to be interviewed for national broadcast, and this was because of its long history of cooperation with Ethiopia in local development initiatives.

Sany has been in the Ethiopian market for about a decade since 2006, and has established a strong network of local dealers in the East African country. There are over 600 units of Sany equipment currently in use in Ethiopia, with concrete pump machinery holding over 70% market share.

Since 2013, Sany has been part of the development of the Adama Wind Farm—Ethiopia's largest wind power project which is fitted with 102 Sany wind turbines. With an installed capacity of 153 MW, the Adama Wind Farm is able to meet 20% of power demand in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa.

Sany President Tang Xiuguo said that Sany will continue to work with Ethiopia in wind farm construction and plans to set up an equipment manufacturing industrial park in the country. He said the company also intends to increase cooperation with the Ethiopian government in housing construction and education projects to further support Ethiopia's economic and human development.
