Malaysian PM invites SANY to invest in Malaysia

At the Malaysia-China Business Forum in Beijing, Nov 1, 2016, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and SANY Group President Tang Xiuguo exchanged ideas about further cooperation between SANY and local companies.

“Malaysia and China are important trade partners and our cooperation has been strengthened over the years,” said Najib Razak. He also welcomed SANY to invest in Malaysia and would provide more support to its investment.

During this meeting, Tang Xiuguo addressed the gathering SANY’s impressive achievement in housing industrialization and looked forward to establishing deeper cooperation with Malaysia in new energy, port and especially housing industrialization.

“SANY Group is the largest engineering machinery manufacturer in China. We will work on more affordable house projects in Malaysia and help improve Malaysians’ livelihood,” Tang Xiuguo added.

On Nov 3, the delegation from Malaysia, accompanied by Tang Xiuguo, visited SANY’s Changsha industrial park in Hunan province. They were impressed by SANY’s sophisticated technologies and expected more communication and cooperation between SANY and Malaysian companies.  

SANY has entered the Malaysian market since 2007 and has generated over $119 million (800 million yuan) in sales over the 9-year period. The superior performance of Sany machinery in a number of key local projects, including the construction of Malaysia's second-largest airport and its largest port, Port Klang, has allowed Sany to build good brand recognition there. In August this year, SANY for the first time announced to participate in the housing project in Terengganu, Malaysia.
