SANY SMG200 Grader proves superior reliability in Johannesburg

In May 2014, SMG200 grader participated in the construction of firebreaks, roads and rolling of foundations in an industry park in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Vereeninging project, contracted by Titanium company, aims to invite foreign high-tech enterprises to build facilities in the region, which would increase the local employment rate.

SMG200 is SANY’s first mechanical grader that works in Africa. Equipped with the strong engine, it worked efficiently in the hard soil for more than 10 hours on average each day for 57 days in a row without any failure reported.

After the project was completed, the SMG200 grader was used for road construction and leveling in other five provinces in South Africa for almost 2,000 hours. Titanium company then used it to build the expressway that links Zambia and Mozambique.
