What makes SANY portal slewing crane so popular worldwide

SANY’s portal slewing cranes have been widely used in various major ports around the world, for instance the Johor port in Malaysia and Zhuhai port in southern China. Malaysia uses 2 units of SANY’s SMQG4006 port machinery with rated hoisting capacity under grab of 40 tons, rated hoisting capacity under hook of 35 tons and maximum radius of 38 meters. In 2015, China’s Zhuhai Port purchased 8 units of portal cranes from SANY to handle container and bulk cargo. The rated hoisting capacity is as high as 120t, rail span 16m and hoisting speed 28m/min. The full automatic tracking for spreader slewing of SANY’s port machinery makes it possible to record the crane’s slewing angle in real time, keeping the container in parallel with the shoreline for automatic tracking.
