Contributing to UN SDGs with Donation to Nyeletis Children's Home

On May 25, SANY South Africa launched a social donation campaign at the Nyeletis Children's Home in Johannesburg, South Africa, demonstrating its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Children's Home, which faces challenges due to a lack of government funding, relies heavily on social donations to support its operations. SANY’s contribution aims to largely improve the daily living conditions of children residing here.

The donation includes two large water tanks, which address the children's water needs and respond to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 6, "Access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene is the most basic human need for health and well-being". In addition, SANY has provided televisions, school bags, drawing books, crayons and blankets, which contribute to the realization of Goal 4, "Ensuring lifelong learning opportunities for all, from early childhood to adult education" by enhancing the children's education and life condition.

By providing two televisions, SANY South Africa provides children with access to information, entertainment and learning opportunities, broadening their educational resources and global perspective. This also supports SDG 10: "Reduce inequality within and among countries," by helping to bridge gaps in access to educational resources.

The directors and children of the Home expressed great joy and gratitude for this timely support. The donation was featured in South Africa's magazine Quarrying Africa with its founding editor Munesu Shoko commented positively on his personal LinkedIn page.
