After joining SANY for two and a half years, Michal Faltyn grows into a star employer in SANY Europe. Joining the company as a service engineer, Faltyn quickly rose to become a service manager for port machinery in Europe, a testament to his hard work and SANY’s commitment to nurturing talent.

From Humble Beginnings to a World of Opportunities

"My parents fled the war in the 1990s and came to Germany with nothing but hope for a better life," he recounted. "This is one reason I feel obliged to give back through commitment and gratitude."

This sense of purpose has defined Faltyn’s approach to his work. Visiting countless customers and dealers across Europe, he has faced the challenges of navigating a market characterized by diverse cultures and expectations. Yet, he views this diversity as an opportunity.

One of Faltyn’s most memorable experiences was in Barcelona two years ago, where he worked closely with a customer at APMT, a prominent port terminal operator.

“When we delivered the first seven machines, it took a long time to gain the customer’s trust,” he explained. “I respected his culture, shared SANY’s story, and emphasized the quality of our products. Building that trust was essential—not just in the machines but in the professionalism and reliability of our team.”

Faltyn spent weeks on-site, ensuring the customer felt confident in SANY’s commitment. Finally, his persistence paid off; the customer became a friend, exemplifying Faltyn’s belief in the power of relationships.

“There’s a saying where I come from: ‘A tree eventually bears fruit.’ Globalization in Europe is like that. You plant a seed, nurture it, and wait. The growth phase is crucial—it determines whether the tree will yield good fruit or if the effort was in vain. Trust and understanding are the keys to success.”

Faltyn’s pride in his work is palpable. “It makes me happy to see the market grow and more SANY machines operating in ports,” he said. Having worked at large companies like SANY before, he recognizes what sets SANY apart.

“We’re like a big family, striving together to deliver the best quality and support to our customers. We take care of each other, help each other, and never leave anyone in the rain. For us, this isn’t just a job—it’s a mission and a lifestyle.”

At home, Faltyn speaks about SANY with the same warmth and affection reserved for family. “When I talk about SANY, it feels like I’m talking about family members. I’m incredibly proud to be part of this group.”
